Eh bien nous y voilà, mon premier article ici, chez GameurZ. Pour ceux qui ne me connaîtrais pas encore, je suis Sir-Kyrou, mais plus connu sur l’internet sous le nom de Kirahorde; je vous invite à aller voir la catégorie « Les suspects » pour plus de détails !
Revenons à nos moutons. Samedi dernier se déroulait au Max Linder une nuit spéciale Tomb Raider, où il était possible, en plus de voir ( enfin surtout revoir ) trois films assez cools sur grand écran : Rambo, Predator et La Momie, de jouer en avant première au prochain Tomb Raider développé par Crystal Dynamics, qui est connu pour ses multiples jeux mettant en scène la fameuse aventurière ou encore pour Soul Reaver !
Après avoir attendu un certain temps dans le froid hivernal, j’ai réussi à rentrer dans le cinéma et là il y avait foule ! Impossible d’approcher les bornes pour l’instant : direction la salle de ciné, en espérant être pas trop mal placé.
On peut dire qu’il y avait effectivement de la queue !
Vient donc l’heure du film, monsieur le directeur de la programmation vient nous parler avant le début du film, explique le principe aux nouveaux comme moi et remercie bien sûr tout les gens sans qui la soirée n’aurait pas été possible. Je pensais donc pouvoir enfin savourer Rambo en VO et sur grand écran, mais que nenni, Julien Chièze arrive avec un micro pour nous commenter une session de jeu en live !
Je dois avouer que je ne retiens pas grand chose de cette session, c’est le tout début du jeu, on y voit la cinématique d’intro, que j’ai trouvé magnifique, et je crois que c’est tout ce que j’ai trouvé cool à ce moment là. En effet, s’en est suivi, pendant 20 ou 30 minutes, des tonnes de QTE et des animations un peu à la ramasse. Quoi que les effets de lumières et les ombres étaient classes.
C’est beau, très.
Fin du premier film, tout le monde va faire sa pause pipi, se jette sur les bornes et va chercher ses goodies, à savoir une affiche avec à son verso un calendrier 2013 assez classe et un comic book : » Lara Croft : The beggining » qui est en anglais bien sûr. Sur cette première pause, je n’ai pas réussi à accéder aux bornes, mais j’ai regardé les gens jouer, et je découvre qu’il n’y a plus vraiment de QTE toutes les 5 minutes, ça donne un point en plus à Lara. En parlant de Lara, elle était présente ! Enfin, elles étaient présentes en fait, de très jolies cosplayeuses étaient effectivement sur place !

Bien, voilà le deuxième film, il doit être 3 heures du matin, je commence à partir vite dans les bras de Morphée, mais pas question de m’endormir avant la fin de la deuxième session live. Nous voilà un peu plus loin dans le jeu, je ne vous raconterai rien, par peur de spoil, mais on a pu voir la pseudo-propagation des flammes, qui est assez jolie, voilà.
4h30/5h du matin, fin de Predator, je me dépêche de descendre jouer pendant que je suis en lucide, et merci mon dieu, il y a une borne de libre ! Je m’empresse de commencer, et je me retrouve catapulté dans un sorte de forêt, ou de montagne, je sais pas trop. Je commence à avancer en direction de l’objectif, et là, c’est le drame. En décodé : des loups arrivent, et avec mon seul arc, je me retrouve incapable de les tuer. Disons que c’est la faute de la manette, parce que je suis mauvais joueur. Je décide donc de faire le tour de la map, avec une horde de loups souhaitant ma chaire fraîche comme dîner. J’ai donc vu que les décors étaient quand même pas trop moches, ils sont même assez réussis. J’ai également remarqué qu’il y avait des objets à collecter, à savoir des documents qui vous en apprendront plus sur le background, et qui augmenteront la durée de vie du jeu pour ceux qui souhaitent le finir à 100%.
Quand on parle du loup…
Vient maintenant le troisième et dernier film… En réalité non, car il y avait des choses à gagner par tirage au sort : lithographies, manettes exclusives Tomb Raider, et une statue de Lara Croft en taille réelle ! Bon, alors GameurZ.fr n’a rien gagné, mais c’est pas très grave parce qu’on a eu droit à une dernière session de jeu en live. On y a vu un tout petit peu d’exploration et de « l’infiltration », car il vous sera en effet possible de choisir comment tourner vos missions. Ce n’est certes pas du niveau d’un Deux Ex : Human Revolution, mais vous pourrez au moins choisir entre faire du bruit pour attirer les gardes et les éliminer avec votre arc ou foncer dans le tas tel un gros joueur de TPS bourrin avec votre petit flingue, ce qui auras comme conséquence d’attirer d’autres gardes.
8h : Fin du dernier film, je vois que certains sont encore en train de jouer, mais aussi que les croissants sont offerts pour le petit-déjeuner, et j’ai un train et 3 heures de trajet qui m’attendent…
Mes impressions sur ce nouveau Tomb Raider
C’est graphiquement beau, même si certaines animations sont assez bizarres (comme la queue de cheval un peu fofolle de Lara). Niveau Gameplay, meme si je me dis que je suis juste trop nul pour abattre des loups, c’est quand même très jouable. Maintenant je pense qu’on a surtout le droit à un Uncharted au féminin. Ce que j’ai vu de ce dernier jeu me fait vraiment penser à Nathan Drake avec une queue de cheval, même si je pense quand même que dans le fond je prendrais bien plus de plaisir à y jouer qu’à Uncharted. Il y a une chose que j’ai oublié de mentionner, c’est qu’il s’agit d’un reboot entier : On retrouve une jeune Lara qui n’a, au début du jeu, encore tué personne et qui doute d’elle. C’est donc vraiment une toute nouvelle Lara, pour un renouveau de la licence Tomb Raider et ça me plait beaucoup ça. Un pari qui portera certainement ses fruits aussi bien auprès des aficionados de la série que des néophytes !
